Turmeric and ginger are some amazing spices with many proprieties. These spices have a lot of benefits for our health. This is why I decided to prepare a recipe in order to include these powerful ingredients.

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg of carrots
  • 1 onion
  • 1 small sweet potato
  • juice from 1 orange
  • 1/2 celery root
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon of turmeric powder
  • 50 g butter
  • salt

First, I cleaned and chopped all the vegetables. I fried the onion in 50 butter until it became glassy. Then I added the rest of the vegetables and left for a few minutes, stirring frequently.

After the vegetables softened a bit, I added the ginger, the orange juice and the turmeric powder. I mixed well and then I put a cup of water. Chicken soup can be added instead of water, if there is already prepared in the fridge, but I preferred to make the soup lighter. I put salt and I let it boil.

While the vegetables were boiling, I quickly made some croquettes of whole bread. I fried a pan and kept them on fire for a few minutes to make them crispy.

When the vegetables were boiled, I stopped the fire and let it cool for a few minutes. Then using the vertical blender, I made the cream soup. If necessary, add water or chicken soup, as desired. I like the creamy and rich taste.
